We hold exceptionally close tolerance in precision jig grinding work. By combining the latest in technology with some of the most experienced operators, we consistently deliver size and location accuracy that sets the pace for the industry. Holes, radii, straight lines or angles are only part of the picture. By using sophisticated rotary tables, computers and one of the only 5-axis CNC jig grinder in the country, we can hold this same accuracy on irregular shapes, forms, sizes and configurations. The only thing we have little tolerance for is error.

No one in the business can handle the volume of jig grinding that we handle. Forty standard jig grinders and twelve standard jig borers are at work; in addition to our complement of high tech NC and CNC jig grinders. We didn't do it for bragging rights. We did it because the demand for our highly accurate, quick turnaround grinding has steadily increased over the years. Let's face it; grinding is often one of the last steps in the machining process. There's just no time for unexpected delays. Therefore, we make quick turnaround automatic.

With grinding, the name of the game is quality. The accuracy that makes the application right for jig grinding demands the highest level of quality. At California Jig Grinding, our AS9100 and ISO 9001:2000 systems are strictly adhered to. These systems mandate regular calibrations of equipment. Calibrations that conform to the National Institute of Standards and Technology. In addition, we use dial bore indicators, air gaging (graduated to .00001), electronic indicators, lasers and of course the highly accurate grinding equipment itself. To further insure accuracy, the building temperature is maintained at 70 degrees(+/- 1/2 degree.) Humidity is constantly regulated to 50%. Electronic filtering disintegrates the dust particles in the air. The building is anchored to a foundation that insulates the shop from ground temperature variance. This highly stable environment contributes to our state-of-the-art accuracy.
